Frequently asked questions

At what cancer stage can I seek help for pain?
At any stage. Cancer pain can be managed from diagnosis, during treatment, and in advanced stages. The earlier it's addressed, the better the control.
Does this replace my oncologist?
No. Pain management is complementary and coordinated with your oncology team; it does not replace your cancer treatment.
What options are there if medication isn't enough?
There are interventional procedures, such as nerve blocks, that can help when medication isn't sufficient. They're assessed case by case.
